From the Village Blacksmith Web Site:

blacksmith pounding ironChristy Horne and Michel Olson are the husband and wife team who make history ring in your ears! Fabulous storytelling with live anvil accompaniment. Young and old alike are riveted to their seats watching Michel make sparks fly and listening to Christy's incredible stories drawn from the rich lore and legends of this, the King of All Crafts.

Did you know that everything you own was made with iron tooling? Did you know that 90% of the metal used in the World today is iron? Did you know that the "sword in the stone" is really a metaphor for blacksmithing and man's ability to take iron in its raw stone like shape and literally pull a sword out of that stone? Making history ring in your ears is our full time job.

In 2006 Michel made more than 3,200 hand forged items that were given away to audience members following our performances. Items like Wee Wizards, Pony Shoes, Unicorn Shoes, Salt Spoons and many more.
